Our Annual Halloween Party

Well the kids heads were spinning afterwards they had so much fun! They have been anxiously awaiting for this party...they knew a bounce house, a pinata, a popcorn machine and a sno cone machine were coming:o) (We wouldn't have gotten the last two things but it was the 'Sunday special' so we didn't refuse!) It was a great turnout with neighborhood kids, kids from our church and our favorite nephews and niece:o)
Caitlin was a halloween fairy, Christopher was a storm trooper, Caleb was Darth Vader, I was Princess Leia and Brian was Han Solo......on the back of Brian's vest it said in permanent marker,"Hi I'm Han Solo. I was too cheap to buy a costume so I had Lisa sew me this vest."
Yes I wrote that.:o)

Caleb taking a good whack at the pinata
Christopher and Peter both as a storm trooper

mmm...popcorn

yes, you are adorable Caitlin:o)

Brian and I and the kids had a lot of fun bouncing in this in the dark after all the kids had gone home...a fun family moment:o)
I forgot to take pictures of Brian carving pumpkins with the kids but that is also another one of our favorite traditions. We always carve one with a happy face and the other one a cross where we use it as an anology to explain to the kids about Christ.....how the gunk inside represents our sin, how God cleans us out like we clean out the pumpkin when we trust in Christ and ask for forgiveness....and then we put a candle in there representing that we are to be a light to others.
Hope everyone has a safe and happy halloween!!!!!!!!!

Caleb scored his very first goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a moment it was! In the second half of his soccer game yesterday Caleb saw the ball was deflected and went towards it and kicked it in the goal and it was so exciting!! I was jumping up and down screaming while holding Caitlin...and that poor girl started crying from my hysteria she didn't know what was going on! But, believe it or not, I didin't care:o), I was so excited for my boy and I thank God I was able to see it. It was a moment I'll never forget. Right after he scored it he ran up to Henry where they high fived each other and then Zachary ran up to him and they hugged it each other. Caleb had the biggest smile on his face the rest of the day. So we celebrated tonight and went to Fuddrucker's where He had fun playing lots of games:o)

The State Fair

We went to the State Fair yesterday and we all had lots of fun! We first had lunch and I thoroughly enjoyed my jalapeno corn dog and the boys loved eating cotton candy after their lunch. We then went and played some games where Brian won C2 a stuffed animal and then he tried to win Caleb a football but wasn't so lucky but guess who stepped up to the plate to win C1 and C2 a football each...that's right mama! Brian did finish off the games with winning Caleb a whale so they each came home with an animal and a football. We finished our time there riding some fun rides...take a look....

(Caleb looks abnormally big for this little car!)

Christopher, Christopher, Christopher part 3

Just a few things that came out of his mouth tonight....

Brian is starting indoor soccer tonight and Caleb wanted to know the difference about indoor and outdoor soccer. So while I was telling Caleb, Christopher said, "Like, who cares?"

Then, Brian was getting on to him for not eating his dinner (which, by the way he is still sitting at the table slowly eating, and sternly telling him to eat and Christopher replied, "Daddy when you get mad at me, I still love you."

oh, that boy......

Weekend at Lake Texoma

We had SUCH a blast this weekend staying at an awesome lakehouse on Lake Texoma with our community group. There were 10 adults and 15 kids and it was crazy, loud and a ton of fun!!! The kids had so much fun playing at the beach, riding in the mule, decorating cookies, playing outside and being rowdy in their bunkroom. The adults had lots of margaritas:o), shot each other with pellet guns, stayed up late playing games and talking and enjoyed watching the kids play around. We absolutely love our community group...our oldest kids have known each other since they were 3 months old and it is priceless.
